my 2019 goals and resolutions

I wish you a happy new year filled with love, happiness, health and dreams. So yes, we are already in 2019. For me 2019 is a year of radical changes in a lot of aspects of my life: first of all, i’ll become an adult (in 3 month and three weeks), i’ll graduate (lmao i hope so pray for me), i’ll move alone in my own apartment so i’ll be a 100% independent (and i kinda feel apprehensive about it) and finally i’ll go to uni !! Yup… a lot of changes. I thought that getting my shit together at the very start of the year would be a good idea so i wrote down all of my goals and resolutions to have an overview of where i want to go so i can start to establish a strategy to get there.

GOALS

Study well at school until the end so i graduate and i’ll be finally done with highschool (and have a good appreciation as well because you know,,, i need it).

Find a part time job and start to save for my apartment. Since i want to stay in Paris i’ll probably have to work during the summer vacation as well so i have enough money to move out and still be economically stable.

Find an apartment (aha), i already have a location idea and i know it will be a studio because i clearly can’t afford something bigger in Paris as a student. I also want it to be a place where i can work on my art, make videos and have an animal so it has to be big enough for that.

Find a good university that complete my professional goals. I actually want to go on a gap year but i want to stay in the ‘school’ spirit so i decided to give a try to uni and if i can’t keep up i’ll just continue my gap year and stop classes and go to an art school the year after.

Travel to Korea and Australia. These two countries are on my bucket list for a few years now and i am hoping on visiting them soon.

RESOLUTIONS

Saying bye to self doubt, self hate and my lack of confidence (non existence actually) because i don’t have time for that, i mean, who does have time for that? Yup, that’s right, no one.

Being more open to new creative process and not rejecting certain types of art.

Being more aware of what i put in my body and aiming for a better lifestyle.

Giving more time to my passions (like i want to go back to making music, photography and my bloooog).

Spending more time with my loved ones.

And finally, to say when i don’t feel good so i don’t stay alone in my despair. Oh and not being too negative and dramatic.

Study Apps: How to stay calm, organized, make mind maps…

hi – I’m back! School is taking all of my personnal time these past few weeks like i feel i’ve been working 24/7. And because i felt overhelmed i thought i could find some apps to help me having my shit together and i actually found some good ones that i’ll share with you right now!!

So first of all, succeeding in school means being organized (for me) and knowing your limit. For example, spending the whole night working for an history test because you didn’t learned it before is a waste of sleep, energy and a proof you weren’t organized (even if sometimes you just need to procrastinate). For the apps, i discovered a lot of them by reading studyblr and watching some ‘study with me’ videos (Jusuf‘s videos are just SO MOTIVATING).

LOFFEE – I talked about this app in my ‘study playlist’ post and this is a must -in my opinion- for people who like to work with music but can’t stay focused when the music has lyrics. This app has five music vibes: Morning Coffee, Early Summer, Heal, Late Night Vibe and Rainy Days and all the songs are lo fi hip hop. It really helps me to relax and focus on my homework. I also listen to it while i’m on my computer, working on some projects, writing post… My favorite playlists are definitly Late Night Vibes and Rainy Days! Or you can just go listen to my study playlist on youtube 🙂 Similar app – Study Aide

FOREST – This app is so famous among studyblr and youtubers, like i heard about it sooo many times so i had to download and try it. This app helps you to stay focused and off line for a moment. You can choose how long you want to work and just start the timer (i recommand 35mins of work and 15mins of pause but just try what’s good for you!). Everytime you are doing a ‘working session’ you plant a virtual tree through the app and it grows while you are working but if you stop the timer (by using your phone and going to another app for example) it will kill the tree. So basically, the goal is to grow as much trees as you can and create a forest that represents your ability to stay focused. The more you plant trees, the more you can unlock new features (like different tree species, etc). Similar app – FLIP, Study Timer, Study Buddy

QUIZLET – This one is a M-U-S-T (especially for languages and definitions)!! If you haven’t heard of it yet, this app allows you to create your own flashcards and helps you memorize them with some interactive games/exercises. You can also search for a particular subject and access to others’ flashcards (and you can obviously share your own flashcards with everyone, your class, your friends or just keep it to yourself!). I actually use quizlet for learning all my lanuages (english, german, korean and maybe spanish soon aha). Similar app – Cartes Mémoire (french)

Notebloc

NOTEBLOC – Another app I just can’t live without and that I also use for other purposes than school. Notebloc is basically a scanner in your phone. You can numerise EVERYTHING, from your notes to your drawings and with a very good quality (as long as you take a good picture and the brightness isn’t bad). It makes everything simplier for me!

miMind

MIMIND – MiMind is an app for creating mind maps. I recently downloaded it and i’m already happy with the results, it really helps you to have an overview on your subject and creating the mind map is just SO EASY like everyone can do it. You have different templates to help you, you can choose different colors, forms… and you can also share it in different formats (jpeg, png, pdf, tga, bmp…). Maybe some people will be disappointed by the ‘aesthetic’ of the app and the mind maps (really 2008, not so pretty) but you know sometimes you have to put utility before beauty.

Study Playlist: Lo fi Hip Hop (Vol. 1)

Hellooo – Je reviens aujourd’hui avec une study playlist. Lorsque je travaille j’ai besoin d’être dans un environnement calme et peu bruyant mais le silence complet me stresse et j’ai toujours besoin d’avoir un fond musical. Le problème c’est que la plupart des musiques que j’apprécie ont des paroles et j’ai un peu de mal à me concentrer sur ce que je fais parce que ça finis toujours en concours de playback.

MAIS il y a environ un an  j’ai découvert le lo fi hip hop et depuis je n’écoute quasiment que ça. C’est une musique d’ambiance présente sans trop l’être et avec des mélodies reposantes mais rythmées, le compromis parfait. Vous pouvez facilement trouver des playlists de lo fi de 5h sur youtube mais j’ai décidé de vous proposer MA playlist car les artistes de lo fi sont souvent oubliés et peu récompensés pour leur travail.

BREF, voici donc ma première playlist de la série ‘Study Playlist’. Pour celle-ci j’ai eu l’idée de créer une vidéo qui regroupe toutes les musiques présentées dans cet article et que pourrez ensuite écouter quand bon vous semble! En espérant que ça vous plaise. Si c’est le cas, je vous recommande vivement une application (gratuite) que j’utilise au quotidien qui s’appelle ‘Loffee et qui entre autre propose des playlist de lo fi en fonction de thèmes et d’ambiances, comme ‘Morning Coffee’, ‘Late Night Vibe’, ‘Rainy Days’… (ma préférée avec Late Night Vibes) et qui en plus met en avant les artistes!!

My back to school Resolutions

Pour celles et ceux qui sont encore à l’école, le fait que la rentrée soit (très) bientôt ne vous échappe pas et qui dit nouvelle année scolaire dit nouvelles obligations, organisation, du travail et un besoin de motivation. Pour ma dernière année de lycée, je me suis décidée à changer de méthode de fonctionnement en terme de travail/devoirs ainsi que de faire des changements plus profonds du côté personnel, je veux donc entamer cette nouvelle année scolaire de la même manière qu’on commence une nouvelle année, avec de bonnes (ou mauvaises) résolutions!!

Get back to journaling

Pendant un moment je tenais un bullet journal et ca me permettais vraiment de me vider la tête, de m’organiser, etc mais je me suis vite je me suis vite laissée emporter avec tous les évènements de fin d’année scolaire et j’ai laissé mon journal de côté! Alors je voudrais reprendre l’écriture de celui-ci dès la rentrée. Si vous voulez savoir pourquoi je me suis mise au journaling, lisez cet article. 🙂

 

Going to the library every wednesday

Comme cette année est ma dernière année au lycée = bac à la fin de l’année, on s’est fixé avec mon amie une sorte de ‘study schedule’ et donc tous les mercredis après midi, on a prevu se rendre à la bibliothèque à coté de notre lycée pour pouvoir étudier, qu’il y ai des devoirs ou non, dans le but de créer une routine et un moment 100% dédié au travail.

 

Find a job

Le côté un peu plus sérieux de mes résolutions car je souhaite voyager beaucoup l’année prochaine et (malheureusement) voyager n’est pas gratuit alors je dois me trouver un travail au plus vite si je souhaite aller à Séoul et si je vzux démenager convenablement.

Read a book per month

Cela fait longtemps que j’ai abandonné la lecture et je ne voudrais pas que cela dure et je fixe donc un objectif, un mois = un livre. Peu importe la taille et le sujet, du moment que je lis.

Get back to sport

Et enfin, me remettre au sport car cette année je n’en ai pas fait du tout et j’ai l’impression que mon corps n’est pas sain et que je ne vais pas perdre du poids comme ça.
