50 Things About Me No One Asked For

Hi, as you may know, I love posting useless articles that have no purpose so today I am writing with the same goal this post about ’50 things about me’. I would really like to make it a tag in the WordPress community so fellow bloggers, hello, please participate in this tag, I need friends!

the ’50 things about me’ tag is a way to know more about the person behind the blog in a more personal way!

1- What is your name and does it mean anything?

my name is Julie and it means youthful (thank you google, I couldn’t count on my mom for answering this question aha). I like that name and it actually describes me pretty well.

2- How long have you known your best friend?

the oldest friendship I have is with Margot and it’s been 9 years now since we became friends. I also have Nina, that I know for 5 years. my other friends are pretty recent. but I cherish them all.

3- What position do you normally sleep in?

I have so many sleeping positions I could write a post about it. my favorite: the al dente fetus position (the fetus position but the lazy version).

4- Do you wish to travel a lot?

of course, this is like one of my main goals!! I already have the chance to travel a lot. I have been to a lot of countries already thanks to my parents.

5- Were you a part of any “clique” in high school?

aha, yes, the invisible one.

6- Who was your favorite teacher in high school and why?

my English teacher. she was so sweet and pretty, like I truly wish to be like her when I’ll be old. I miss her sometimes. my English teachers have always been my favorites.

7- Did you participate in any sports while in school?

yes because it was a mandatory class but I do enjoy some sports from time to time. but why do they call ping-pong a sport?

8- Show a sample of your handwriting:

I don’t have one handwriting but multiple so sometimes when I write a letter i start writing in one particular way and in the end, the writing is so different that you could think we were two writing it, aha.

9- Have you ever given blood?

Not yet, but soon!

10- Do you like the way that you grew up?

I am still growing up, and yes, I don’t have anything to complain about (thank you mom and titi).

11- Do you like your siblings? Why or why not?

aha. it’s complicated but I hope they grow up and understand my struggle as a big sister, part-time mom.

12- How did you meet your best friend and why did you become friends?

at school but I don’t remember the context precisely.

13- Name one movie that made you cry. 

I think I never cried for a movie, I do sometimes have teary eyes but I never actually cry.

14- Do you prefer to read poetry, write poetry, or neither?

read poetry because I have no talent in this area. Rupi Kaur is one of my favorite poets these days.

15- Things about someone that you find attractive?

physically: their skin (if it is clear or not) and their hair.

personality: their humor and the way they express themselves. I like a good speaker.

16- What song are you currently listening to?

eastside by Benny Blanco ft. Halsey and Khalid, I love this song!!

17- Have you ever broken a bone? If so, how?

Yes. In the most stupid way actually. every public garden in Paris has a heavy metal gantry and one day I was rushing to see my friends in the park and just went through it, without opening it. boom. my knee.

18- A random memory from your childhood:

eating my dog’s food under the table with him. and running around the garden with my goose friend, Janette. I’m not kidding, my grandparents had a farm and I used to hang out with ducks and a goose.

19- Where did you grow up?

In Paris.

20- What was the last thing you watched on tv?

totally spies. I am still a kid okay. that was my favorite cartoon when I was a kid (still my favorite actually).

21- Do you think you’d make a good parent?

Yes, I mean I hope so. but I don’t really want children.

22- Would you like to meet any of your online friends in person?

Yes off course!! Piper and I will try to meet in Korea, the same for Zoe and I need to see Tinashe before leaving for Seoul!

23- What was the last dream you remember having?

I actually remember not all but most of my dreams, even the ones I did a few years ago, I just need to see or hear something that was in that dream to remember the whole thing.

24- When is your birthday?

19th of April, I am a spring baby (the best right??)

25- How many pillows do you sleep with?

One, my love, I am a loyal pillow owner.

26- Do you wear glasses? If so, how long have you been wearing glasses?

Yes. Since I am 7 years old, I guess.

27- What color is your hair?

dark brown. but I like to screw up my hair color so it depends on the moment aha (laughing through the pain).

28- Name 5 facts about your appearance:

curly dark brown hair, kind of tall, very long nails, Asian looking (but it’s not obvious), plumpy lips.

29- What is your favorite soda?

Schweppes agrum’ (i never knew it was spelled that way?? I had to google it wth).

30- What is a strange talent that you have?

I can use my feet to do things I don’t want to do with my hands! nasty I know aha.

31- How’s the weather right now?

it’s very sunny and warm, I hate it.

32- Why did one of your friendships end?

because of some stupid reasons. I am a huge part of it.

33- Who do you miss right now?

someone.

34- Why did your last relationship end?

it happened in the last century I don’t even remember. and don’t want to, lol.

35- Are you still figuring out who you are?

Yes. It is a life journey.

36- Have you ever been admitted to a hospital? Why?

Yes, many times. For a broken leg, an opened finger…

37- What is your favorite restaurant?

In Paris, there is this Vietnamese restaurant called Paris-Hanoï and oh, praise satan this is the best restaurant on earth.

38- What is a word that you always seem to spell wrong?

every word with double syllables or consonants. I always get confused.

39- Would you ever adopt kids?

Yes, why not!

40- What is your favorite kind of pizza?

the ones with eggs and a lot of sauce. I don’t have one kind in particular, as long as it is tasty. and that the dough is thick and squishy.

41- What was your first thought when you woke up this morning?

I don’t think. no, I’m kidding. hm… ‘what do we have to eat?’ but this is like a regular thought.

42- When was the last time you got really really happy and why?

when I was over with my exams! (a few weeks ago). also whenever something good happens to my family or friends. I don’t show it but deep inside I’m screaming.

43- What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?

insects? but it’s not that strange to me since I eat insects from time to time.

44- How do you start a conversation?

aha. I don’t really start it. It depends on my mood though. A nice ‘hi’ and a smile is a good start.

45- What’s a band you’ve been obsessed with lately?

oh, that’s the tough question okay. I’ve been obsessed with music since I am a baby. I grew up in a family of musicians and artists. I love so many groups I can’t choose one. But I’ll say BTS, prettymuch, DAY6 and 5SOS.

46- Do you come from a family “of money?”

No, but I won’t say I was poor. I grew up in a middle-class family, comfortable with our income.

47- Do you have a bucket list?

Yes, but it is always changing since I am always adding things to it.

48- What is your favorite series of books?

I used to be a huge book lover but not anymore. I remember loving Fableheaven. Really good serie, you get addicted to it.

49- Where do you go when you are sad?

Somewhere alone, it can be on my balcony, my bed or in my kitchen.

50- 5 random facts about yourself.

I have chronic hiccup. I have a really good sense of direction. I have 10 animals at home (a cat, a dog, two guinea pigs, three mouses, and three pet fish). I am half Vietnamese and half Algerian. I am addicted to bubble tea (hi chatime).
